Playroom/Office in progress!

 Playroom / Home Office Project
I wanted to take my terra cotta BLAH room and make it fun and useful for my 4 year old and myself.
This is what I've come up with so far...
I'm still working on it, so check back for more!!
Or sign up for the BubbleCrumb Newsletter to get it as it happens!

This was the room BEFORE I started. I painted the walls
HARDWARE by Sherman Williams.

I found this idea on Pinterest!
So cute! Just Vinyl lettering and picture hanging wire with mini clothes pins I found at Michael's!

I LOVE IKEA! I came up with this idea in bed one morning.
I remembered seeing picture frames resting on a shelf and thought
it may work for books too!!

The Ribba picture ledge was $14.99 and I used 2.

This light fixture was for me. I just LOVE it!! I bought it on Overstock.com
There are a few other things in this room that I will highlight at a later date.

 Cut these myself!

This was another bedroom idea. I needed a place for my little one's coloring books and paper.
IKEA had the SPONTAN magazine rack for $9.99 It was silver and I spray painted it black.
I added some white vinyl wording and voila! Too cute!

Summer Drink Ideas!

Summer Entertaining Drink Ideas!

Giving your guests lots of choices at a party is an important part of entertaining. Try using different beverage servers such as these Willow House Savannah Beverage Servers easily labeled with ribbon and name cards.
My favorite Sangria recipe is simply using:
  • Carlo Rossi Sangria (in the wine department of your local store)
  • Dole pine-orange juice
  • Ginger ale
  • and a little rum!
SOOO good!

If you want several different options, you may want to try an instant drink mix such as Willow House's 3 beverage mixes that makes life much easier doesn't it? Just add water and spirits!

Willow House really does have the most attractive and sturdy entertaining pieces. I especially love my Entertaining Bucket and stand and the Nola Bucket and stand.

The great thing is that these sturdy entertaining pieces also double as organizing solutions!
Try plants, towels, books and magazines or even firewood!

Pantry Re-Model

I have totally re-modeled my pantry!!
Life is so much easier now!

Here is what my pantry looked like before the pantry re-model:

Not horrible, but definitely not better homes and gardens quality!

I started this 2 day + project by removing EVERYTHING from the pantry and threw out or gave away anything I didn't use.

Then I soaped, sanded and primed the shelves for the new paint color. I chose a med gray color I purchased at ACE hardware.

When the pantry was all dry, I jarred almost everything. No boxes are really allowed except for cake mixes, jello ect.

I used a shower basket to hold dip mixes ect.

I absolutely LOVE these under shelf baskets (click HERE to get some) for holding paper plates, napkins and lunch bags!

Love this idea...Do away with the cereal boxes!! You don't need them and I have like 10 different cereals here!!

Large canisters with all my baking needs are essential! With cooking and baking everyday and for www.bubblecrumb.com You know how fast I go through staples like flour, sugar and chocolate chips!!

Everyone who sees my pantry asks me about these can holders! They are very inexpensive. You can find them HERE

Another fun idea is using different size jars for snacks and perishables like nuts. I like to use jars with sealed lids like these Click Here

This is a cute label I created for my flour(s)!

If you like these, I can create a set for you! any 4 custom pantry labels for $25

They are SUPER cute right?

Laundry room Re-Do...an inspiration for me!

My laundry room inspiration!

While looking for inspiration for my 1980's laundry room, I came across this awesome re-do from
Tater Tots and Jello I was just taken by the serene feeling I got when I looked at this room.

I Love all the little touches. The baskets, the jars, the knobs and especially the walls, right down to the "aquarium water" paint color!

Laundry is a chore for me and I do not aspire to the tittle of  "Laundress" but with a room like this I may have a change of heart!

Tea Bag Drawer Sachet

What a SCENT-sational idea!
There are so many different variety of teas nowadays, your "Drawers" can be any scent!

As some of you may know, I gave up coffee to try and achieve optimal health by leveling out my PH balance. I stumbled upon Tranquil Tea Lounge in Fullerton, CA. This place is my new "ZEN" hangout! My girlfriends and I meet there every Thursday for tea. My favorite tea is the coconut oolong tea which has so many benefits including weight loss!! Consider swapping your morning cup of joe for some smooth delicious oolong tea!

2 socks in, 2 socks out!

This is an incredible invention!! Not since the bag clips have I been so excited over a piece of plastic! I have an entire drawer in my laundry room dedicated to widowed socks! They usually never turn up! What's the deal with that? I mean really, where do they go? Very mysterious...

These resin clips “handcuff” pairs together (even in the washer and dryer),
ensuring you’ll never lose a sock again.
To buy: $9 for 20, containerstore.com

I just LOVE this fun organizing idea! A rainbow of books not only looks fabulous, it takes reading to a whole new level!! Try this at home to decorate, organize and elevate you mood!
