Pantry Re-Model

I have totally re-modeled my pantry!!
Life is so much easier now!

Here is what my pantry looked like before the pantry re-model:

Not horrible, but definitely not better homes and gardens quality!

I started this 2 day + project by removing EVERYTHING from the pantry and threw out or gave away anything I didn't use.

Then I soaped, sanded and primed the shelves for the new paint color. I chose a med gray color I purchased at ACE hardware.

When the pantry was all dry, I jarred almost everything. No boxes are really allowed except for cake mixes, jello ect.

I used a shower basket to hold dip mixes ect.

I absolutely LOVE these under shelf baskets (click HERE to get some) for holding paper plates, napkins and lunch bags!

Love this idea...Do away with the cereal boxes!! You don't need them and I have like 10 different cereals here!!

Large canisters with all my baking needs are essential! With cooking and baking everyday and for www.bubblecrumb.com You know how fast I go through staples like flour, sugar and chocolate chips!!

Everyone who sees my pantry asks me about these can holders! They are very inexpensive. You can find them HERE

Another fun idea is using different size jars for snacks and perishables like nuts. I like to use jars with sealed lids like these Click Here

This is a cute label I created for my flour(s)!

If you like these, I can create a set for you! any 4 custom pantry labels for $25

They are SUPER cute right?

Daily Organizing Task - April 5th

April  5

Toss out any junk mail cluttering your home. If you have a drawer dedicated to junk mail, it's time to weed out the useful from the expired.

You may want to invest in a compact mail system. To get the rotating bill organizer above,

Daily Organizing Task - April 2nd

April  2

Today is Good Friday and the start of everything Easter, from egg hunts to making delicious hot-cross-buns. If this is a day you celebrate, use the morning to look over your checklist of preparations so that even the smallest details are not left to chance.

Aluminum foil is FANTASTIC!

I love aluminum foil! There are so many uses. When we think of aluminum foil, we tend to think of wrapping baked potatoes or lining a pan, but aluminum foil is so much more that that!
No more oops! moments when painting, if you cover doorknobs and hardware with aluminum foil.
Create a funnel of foil to neatly transfer salad dressings or condiments from tacky plastic bottles to pretty carafes or back again. Place it in the bottle and pour away.
To get wrinkles out of silk, wool, and rayon clothes that can't take direct heat, place a piece of foil on your ironing board, then lay the garment flat over it. With the steam button down, pass the iron three to four inches over the fabric several times. Wet heat radiating from the foil helps smooth out wrinkles.
And let's not forget the fun costumes we can make!

Ice Cream made Easy!!

What a clever idea! How many times have you served ice cream with cake with a sticky mess?! This fun trick will save time, make clean up easier and make you look totally hip at the same time!

To save time and make clean up easy,  scoop before the party begins! Place scoops in paper baking cups and transfer the tray to the freezer. After the cake is cut, remove the scoops from the paper baking cups (or not) and drop them onto the waiting plates.
